BUTLERVILLE  —  In 11 months, a university student can get paid an affiliate of applied science degree in cybersecurity and then move on to a large-having to pay, in-demand career.

Steven Combs, chancellor of Ivy Tech Local community Higher education Columbus, explained the Ivy Tech Cyber Academy at the Muscatatuck City Instruction Center in Butlerville is the only place on the world that features an accelerated diploma plan in that subject.

There are schools that offer two-12 months plans, but Ivy Tech is the only 1 that does it speedier.

“It’s globally exceptional,” he stated. “Not only in 11 months are they coming out with a degree, which really just suggests that they bought through a diploma, their certifications say, ‘I’m prepared for the workforce.’ … We know when our folks are coming out, they are right away prepared for the workforce.”
